For Foreign Associates
Your Ukrainian Correspondent
We act as local agent for patent and trademark firms filing into Ukraine — a named registered attorney, fixed fees agreed before we start, and reporting in English at every step.
- Attorney register no. 373
- Fixed fees
- Pay after filing available
Why Firms Instruct Us
The things that actually matter when you are putting your client's file in someone else's hands
-
A Named Attorney of Record
Matters are handled by Inna Nizova, Ukrainian patent attorney, register no. 373 — verifiable in the public register before you instruct, not a name on a letterhead.
-
Correspondent Only
We act for your firm, not around it. We do not approach your client directly, and we do not solicit work that reaches us through you.
-
Fixed Fees, Agreed First
A written engagement, fixed sums and staged payments. No unexpected charges mid-prosecution — a point our clients keep making in writing.
-
Answered in English, Within 24 Hours
Instructions, reporting and office action analysis in English. Urgent deadline enquiries are handled outside office hours.

The first question everyone asks
Power of Attorney
A missing power of attorney should never be the reason a Ukrainian deadline is lost. We file on time and complete the formalities afterwards.
Request the PoA Form- A power of attorney in favour of our attorney of record — we send you the form
- For PCT entries, a missing PoA does not cost you the 31-month date: the Office invites it within 2 months
- File first, complete formalities after — we do not hold a filing back waiting for paperwork
- Exact signature and form requirements confirmed for your applicant when you instruct

Costs
Official fees are set by the Ukrainian office and are the same whoever files. Our professional fees are fixed per matter and agreed before we begin, with staged payments — and for PCT national phase entry, payment after filing is available to qualified firms.
We keep a standing correspondent tariff for firms that instruct us regularly. Ask and we will send it.

Questions from Associates
The ones we are asked most often before a first instruction
Do foreign applicants have to use a local representative?
Yes. A foreign applicant must be represented before the Ukrainian office by a registered Ukrainian patent or trademark attorney. That is the role we perform for your firm.
What language do applications have to be in?
Applications are filed in Ukrainian. We handle translation of the specification, claims, abstract and any supporting documents, and the translation cost is quoted up front rather than billed as an extra afterwards.
Can we pay after filing?
For qualified firms, yes — for PCT national phase entry we offer filing first and invoicing after the application is on file with the Ukrainian office. Terms are agreed in the engagement.
Will you contact our client directly?
No. Where you instruct us, your firm is our client and all correspondence goes through you. We do not approach the underlying applicant, and we do not use work referred by you as a route to a direct relationship.
Is Ukraine a member of the Madrid Protocol?
Yes. You can designate Ukraine through a Madrid application, and we act on provisional refusals issued against those designations — a large part of our trademark practice is exactly that work.
How do you report on a matter?
You get the filing receipt and application number as soon as the office issues them, then reporting at each substantive step — publication, office actions with our analysis and a recommendation, and grant or registration with the certificate.
What happens if the office issues a provisional refusal?
We send you the refusal with a translation, an assessment of the grounds and a recommended response strategy with a fixed fee, before doing the work. Overcoming refusals is a core part of our practice — see the case studies for how those arguments have run.
