You provide the work and the author’s details under a signed confidentiality agreement — for an individual, that is a name, address and date of birth.

Application Preparation

We prepare the application, the description and the annotation of the work to the register’s requirements, including source-code formatting for software.

Filed electronically with the state register — there is no printing requirement and no limit on file size.

A certificate of copyright registration is issued once the filing is accepted; the deposited work is held by the state authority for future reference.

What copyright does and does not cover under Ukrainian law

Protects Form, Not the Idea

Copyright protects the expression of a work, not the underlying method or idea. A technical solution described in a book is not thereby protected — that requires a patent.
No Prior-Art Search

There is no examination against existing works. In a dispute over authorship, the earlier registration date generally prevails, absent proof of earlier publication.
Registering for a Company

Only a natural person can be an author. Registering with a legal entity as rights holder requires additional documents establishing the link between the author and the company.

Copyright Registration Abroad

Clients with US operations often register separately with the US Copyright Office — a certificate from a court's own jurisdiction carries more weight there than a foreign one.
